BEST BIRTHDAY YET!!

Yesterday was my 29th Birthday...YIKES!! Even though I was apprehensive about turning the BIG 29 I have amazing friends and family..and of course hubby that eased the pain. :) First things first I have to talk about my gift from my sister. She bought me a plane ticket to Southern California so I could be with Scott at his conference. Britta and her husband Brett truly spoiled Scott and myself while we were in California. They opened up their home to us and were our personal tour guides through L.A. It was SO MUCH FUN, and I can't wait to visit again!!

Before we left to come back to Utah. SUCH AN AMAZING TRIP! Thank you so much Britta! :) This was definitely the start to the BEST BIRTHDAY YET!!
These pictures mark the start of my actual b-day. I woke up to Scott telling me I needed to be ready to go by 11:30 because we had a couple's massage!!!!!! :) It was AMAZING! I had never had one before, but seriously enjoyed every second of it. After that Scott and I decided that we were going to indulge in some Krispy Kream Doughnuts, and then it was off to SLC to see what kind of fun we could get into. Scott and I decided to go to Temple Square and enjoy all the flowers. Here are some of the pictures we took.

After Temple Square Scott and I met up with one of my best friends Amber Dawn. Since my birthday is shared with "Cinco de Mayo" we decided to go eat some great Mexican food at the "Red Iguana".
I got serenaded by a mariachi band...my face is bright red if you hadn't noticed! lol Made my day though...

Then to end the night Scott and I got to go play games with my bro's Cliff & Bryson & my sis-in-law Lisa and their two beautiful girls Nyah and Saibra. Below is a picture of the AMAZING birthday cake and Nyah helping me blow out my candles! Cliff and Lisa were kind enough not to put 29 candles on the cake. lol BEST BIRTHDAY YET!! :) LOVE YOU ALL!!

Sunny Sunday's

There is nothing that I love more than sunny days, great company, and a peaceful quiet day at the park. This past Sunday I was called off of work, and since it was the most beautiful day Provo had seen in a while, Scott and I decided to drive up the canyon and enjoy some sun. I must say that even though I have had a tough 2 years here in Provo, I can still appreciate its beauty. There truly is no sight like the canyon in the spring/summer. Snow capped mountains with green grass to lay on. Its a sight for sore eyes.
The perfect equipment to bring to the canyon: Energy drinks, Scott's long board, and something to read

We had such a great time that I can't wait to do it again. :) Thank you Provo, I think I just found my favorite thing here. Go figure that it took me 2 years to find it. lol

THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING...

Seriously...I am not bragging but I have THE MOST AMAZING HUSBAND EVER!!! :) He constantly is surprising me, and every day I fall in love with him all over again. Today I went to the gym and came home to a SPOTLESS apt, these beautiful flowers, the sweetest card, and fresh sliced pineapple (my favorite)!! I was so impressed that I felt the need to share with all of you...the proof is in the pudding! :)

A DAY WITH FAMILY!!! :)

Living in Provo we have many options when it comes to ice cream. About 6 months ago Scott and I discovered Farr's ice cream where you can pick your flavor of soft serve ice cream & add any & as much toppings as needed (ok, as wanted! Ha Ha!). We treated my little brother and some of his friends and enjoyed every second. This truly is a "must share" ice cream shop. Can't wait until next time....

Living in Provo has been difficult on me because I don't get to see my family as much as I would like, so when I do get to see them I cherish every moment. My sister-in-law Lisa came up with my two nieces and we went shopping for my brother Cliff's birthday. It was a blast, and as you can see I got to hold my niece Nyah the whole time! My hope is that one day we (meaning all of my family) will live close enough to visit one another frequently. :) What a fun day we had!

OUR VALENTINE'S DAY TRADITION

First off I had to show the BEAUTIFUL flower arrangement that Scott gave me for Valentine's Day. Note the super cute pink ribbon & blinging buckle on the vase! I love them, he seriously knows me WAY too well!! It was a wonderful Valentine's day, and here is why...

These pictures posted below is where our Valentine's Day tradition started. These next three pictures were taken on our first "official" date...and it just so happened to be on Valentine's day. Our tradition is to make homemade pasta (yes, including the noodles from scratch). The noodles were undercooked, and I don't remember the Alfredo sauce being as "wonderful" as I thought it was going to be, but either way this date was the beginning of the most amazing relationship I have ever known. The first picture is supposed to be funny, we had Scott's roomy come out and take this "Ghost" pic. :)

The next picture is of me kneading the dough and I tell you, making pasta noodles from scratch is A LOT OF WORK!! lol
Here is my handsome hubby (then possible boyfriend) cooking the pasta in his apt. at BYU.
So now today....this is my now HANDSOME HUBBY with all the noodles that he cut with such precision. This time we cooked the noodles A LOT longer, and they turned out to be PERFECTION!!!
The chicken...(that was my part of the meal) Difficult, I know! lol
Oh and I was also in charge of the Alfredo sauce. This pic was taken right before I dumped in about a gallon of Parmesan cheese!! It was delicious...if I do say so myself! :)
The final product! It was amazing this time! We are still working on perfecting the recipe, as we are working on perfecting our relationship. The good news is that we have all eternity to work on that! Until next year....HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERYONE!!!
